Industry Renaissance

Dassault Systèmes

is an international software developer with a portfolio that includes CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA, DELMIA and other tools for design, engineering, and data management.

Objectives
  • For the conference, we needed to develop an entertaining AR app that would demonstrate how the Dassault Systèmes solutions work.
  • Customers often fail to associate the company’s products with the brand. It was important for the app to present the full range of Dassault Systèmes solutions.
Results
The app was ready for the start of the conference and became part of a large-scale event.

How the app works
Dassault Systèmes promotes the Industry Renaissance concept. Digital technology plays the same role in industry development today as the creation of the first printing press several centuries ago. We were inspired by this idea and combined modern technology with the era of Leonardo da Vinci’s great inventions.
What we did
Engineers, architects, and technical specialists form the project’s target audience. That’s why we worked out a script that replicates the experience of a Dassault Systèmes product user. Each step was accompanied by information about the company’s programmes, which are used at different design stages. This way, we presented the company’s products in conjunction with the brand.
We wanted the app design to be both logical and intuitive, so we looked carefully for loops, extra steps, and logical gaps in the non-linear scenario.
We compiled a clickable prototype in Figma and tested it on the target audience. We made sure that the application scenario was clear to the users.
The app was designed using the Dassault Systèmes corporate style. We prepared an image with special tags for launching augmented reality.
We built the app on the Unity engine and added 3D models of aircraft, animations and sounds. The final tests were conducted to make sure that all scripts and functions work correctly.
When the app was ready, it was published on Google Play and the App Store. Visitors to the exhibition could download it using the link in the QR code that we placed on the event stands.
